The state of North Carolina has very stringent laws regarding the ordering, shipment, and delivery of alcoholic beverages, including wine. Since our license to sell wine could be in jeopardy by violation of state laws, we must take every precaution to protect underage recipients as well as our reputation and livelihood. Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated.

North Carolina state law requires that you must be 21 years of age or older to order and receive alcoholic beverages shipped from Black Wolf Vineyards. Our wine shipments are sent to street addresses only (no Post Office boxes), with an "Adult Signature Required" sticker affixed to the package. The carrier delivering our wine is required by law to ask for and check photo identification at the time of delivery. This means that an adult recipient *MUST* be present to sign for the shipment.

We rely on you to provide us with accurate delivery information. If you realize the address you have given us is incorrect, notify us as soon as possible! If we have not yet shipped your order, we will gladly make the correction. Once we release your order to UPS for delivery, we cannot make changes to the shipping address. If you notify us of an error *after* the package is released to UPS but before delivery has been made, we will make every attempt to recall the package. You will be held responsible for the $11 UPS return shipping charge. We can then re-ship the package to the correct address, subject to normal shipping charges.

If a package is been delivered by UPS to an incorrect address that you provided, we have no recourse for recovery, especially if the unintended recipient refuses to cooperate. We will, of course, take full responsibility for any shipment lost due to an error on our part.
