Black Wolf Vineyards Wine Tasting:
Monday through Saturday - 11a.m. to 2:30p.m.
Sunday - 12noon to 4p.m.
(In addition to these tasting hours, bottles may be purchased
anytime during restaurant business hours.)
The Wolf's Lair Restaurant:
Lunch:
Monday through Friday - 11a.m. to 2:30p.m. Try
our weekday "Lightning Lunch" with prices ranging from just $1.95
to $7.95.
Saturday - 11a.m. to 2:30p.m.
Dinner:
Thursday through Saturday - 5p.m. to 10p.m.
Sunday - 12noon to 8p.m.
Reservations Encouraged: Due to the possibility of our restaurant
being totally booked for meetings, parties or weddings, we strongly
recommend you make dining reservations, even if the day you plan to visit
us.
We are CLOSED on: Independence
Day Holiday and December 25th (Christmas
Day). We close at 2:30p.m. on December 24th (Christmas Eve).
If we are to be closed for a special event (wine festival, etc.), that
fact will be noted under "Upcoming Special Events" above.

Driving Directions
|
FROM WINSTON-SALEM: Take U.S. Hwy 52 north towards
Mt Airy. Take Exit 140 (Interstate 74) west to Exit 11 (U.S. Hwy 601
exit).
Take U.S. Hwy 601 south (towards Dobson) for five miles. There is a
traffic light intersection at Hwy 601 and Business 601, continue south on
Hwy 601. Vineyard Lane is to the left, 8/10 mile south of the
traffic light, directly across the highway from Andrew Lane.
If coming north on U.S. 601 from Booneville, or off northbound I-77 north
at Exit 93 (Zephyr Road) and through Dobson on West Kapp and East Atkins
to U.S. 601 north, Vineyard Lane is a right turn off U.S. Hwy 601, just
3/10 mile north of the Dobson exit overpass. Once on Vineyard
Lane, follow the one-way road as it curves through the vineyard to

Cabernet Sauvignon (2004) - Aged in oak,
this wine is robust, deep and full bodied -
true elegance and finesse. This is Black Wolf's pride and joy.

Pinot Noir (2005) - Intimate and moody, dark as a stormy night.
Powerful and subtle, with an agreeable finish. $13.00

Chambourcin (2006) - A heavy-bodied wine with smooth oak
and black raspberry flavors. Great with steak and other beef
dishes as well as chocolate desserts. $14.00
Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot (50/50 blend) "Black Magic" (2006)
- This unique red wine features a blend of Merlot and Cabernet
Sauvignon. A bewitching charm to be shared over fine food and candlelight.
Goes best with Elk, Filet Mignon or Rib Eye Steak. $14.00
Sweet Wolf Red (n/v) - Light
and mild. A charmingly pleasant, easygoing wine. A kiss
rather than a bite. $12.00
Wolf's Lair Red (n/v) - A light bodied wine, bursting with
cherry flavors balanced with oak. A great table wine to pair
with game meats as well as pork. $11.00
Sweet Dreams (n/v) - A
cherry-flavored Cabernet Sauvignon. A wine that pairs especially
well with Chocolate. $12.00
Rose' Wines:
Wolfsbane Rose' (n/v)
- Wonderful aroma of fresh cut apple. Goes down smooth and slightly
sweet. $12.00
White Wines:
Chardonnay (2005) - Fruity, excellent bouquet, much breed. This
wine is very rich and distinctly dramatic on the palate. $12.00
Sauvignon Blanc (2005) - A well-made wine. Dry, clear and brilliant. A
product of cooperation between man and natures cooperation. Perfect for celebrations. $11.00
Seyval Blanc (2006) - Complex,
dry and altogether excellent. Consistently exhibits the finesse and delicacy of the Black Wolf line of fine wines. $11.00
Blue Moon White (n/v) - Velvety, soft and mellow, a semi-sweet
white. Refreshing and pleasant. "Vineyard

Moonlight White (n/v) - Sauvignon Blanc with a
light peach flavor.

Unique Features |
Black Wolf Vineyards and The Wolf's Lair Restaurant
are co-located at the north end of the Yadkin Valley, North Carolina's
first designated viticulture area. The tasting room and
restaurant are set atop the highest point on the vineyard grounds, with
sweeping panoramas of the surrounding Piedmont foothills and the nearby Blue
Ridge Mountains. Visitors are welcome to walk the grounds, and visit
a spring-fed well house and "secret garden," where you can look for a meteorite set into the
stone wall that surrounds the garden. You are invited to purchase an International Cheese Plate to
accompany your bottle of Black Wolf wine, and find your own quiet
retreat on the vineyard grounds for an afternoon or evening's enjoyment.
The Wolf's
Lair welcomes you to an enchanting dining experience from the
moment you are greeted by Manager Felicia Pell or your host/hostess and
seated in the dining room to enjoy featured
American cuisine with a Continental flair from Chef Adam Williams and his staff.

March 2004: The Wolf's Lair in Dobson, NC was awarded
a 3 Diamond Rating by the AAA.
Grape Jam at Black Wolf Vineyards
- Our annual fun, food and wine Festival, held annually in
September. The 2008 Grape Jam will be held on Saturday,
September 13, 2008. NOTE: The 2008 Grape Jam has been
cancelled (due to current economic conditions, reduced travel,
etc). Plan on attending in 2009! Click

Limited camping
is now available on the vineyard property near the winery along the
Fisher River. Camping fee is $30 per couple per night if
having lunch or dinner at "The Wolfs Lair"
restaurant. Otherwise it's $60 per couple per night. No frills. Pack
